Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

At AppsPulse, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our dual-platform application monitoring service. By using AppsPulse, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information: (a) Account Information — email address, name, and authentication credentials when you register via email/password or third-party login (e.g., Google OAuth). (b) Platform Credentials — OAuth tokens or Service Account JSON keys you provide to connect Google Play or App Store accounts. These are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. (c) App Metrics Data — when you authorize platform access, we collect app listings, user reviews, ratings, version/release information, Android Vitals data (crash rates, ANR rates, startup time, rendering performance), revenue and financial reports, and voided purchase records through official platform APIs. (d) Usage Data — browser type, IP address, pages visited, and feature interactions collected automatically to improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide, operate, and maintain the AppsPulse monitoring dashboard; aggregate and display app metrics, reviews, and revenue data from connected platforms; send alerts and notifications when your app metrics cross configured thresholds; enable review management features including reading and replying to user reviews; generate trend analysis and cross-platform comparisons; process payments and manage your subscription; improve our services, develop new features, and fix bugs; perform automated analysis using AI (e.g., review sentiment classification, crash root-cause diagnosis) to enhance monitoring insights — this processing occurs on Cloudflare Workers AI infrastructure and no data is sent to external AI providers; and communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests.

3. Google API Services User Data

AppsPulse accesses Google user data through the Google Play Android Developer API and Google Play Developer Reporting API. Data accessed includes: app listings and metadata in your Google Play Developer account; user reviews and your developer replies; release and version track information; Android Vitals metrics (crash rate, ANR rate, startup time, rendering performance) with multi-dimension breakdowns by device, country, and app version; voided purchase records; and financial reports from Google Cloud Storage. This data is used solely to display aggregated analytics, provide monitoring alerts, and enable review management within the AppsPulse dashboard. We do not use Google API data for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except as necessary to provide the AppsPulse service (e.g., Cloudflare for hosting infrastructure). When you disconnect your Google account or delete your AppsPulse account, all associated Google API data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. AppsPulse's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can learn more at https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy.

4. Apple App Store Data

When you connect an App Store Connect account via API key, AppsPulse accesses: app listings and metadata, customer reviews and your developer responses, app version and build information, and sales and financial report data. This data is accessed through the official App Store Connect API and is used exclusively to provide the AppsPulse monitoring and analytics service. Apple API data is subject to the same retention and deletion policies as described in this Privacy Policy.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or platform data. We may share information only in the following circumstances: (a) Service Providers — we use Cloudflare for hosting, edge computing, data storage, and AI inference; Resend for transactional emails (account verification, alerts, team invitations); PayPal for payment processing. These providers only access data necessary to perform their services. (b) Within Your Workspace — if you use AppsPulse's team/workspace features, authorized workspace members can access shared app data and credentials based on their assigned roles. (c) Legal Requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request. (d) Business Transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction, and we will notify affected users.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows: Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. App metrics and analytics data is retained for at least 12 months to enable trend analysis; Team plans may include extended retention. Platform credentials (OAuth tokens, API keys) are retained only while your account is active and the connection is not revoked. When you delete your account, disconnect a platform, or request data deletion, we will permanently remove the associated data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized statistics that cannot identify individual users or apps may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.

7. Data Security

We implement comprehensive security measures to protect your data: all data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest using AES-256 encryption; platform credentials (OAuth tokens, Service Account keys) are encrypted with a dedicated encryption key before storage; we use secure OAuth 2.0 flows for Google Play authentication with minimal required scopes; all infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's global edge network with built-in DDoS protection; access tokens are cached with short TTLs and automatically rotated; database access is restricted and all queries are parameterized to prevent injection attacks. Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

AppsPulse is hosted on Cloudflare's globally distributed edge network. Your data may be processed in data centers located in various countries around the world. By using AppsPulse, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for all international data transfers.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: the right to access and receive a copy of your personal data; the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data; the right to delete your personal data; the right to data portability (export in a machine-readable format); the right to withdraw consent for data processing; the right to object to or restrict certain processing; and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You can exercise most of these rights directly through your AppsPulse account settings (e.g., deleting your account, disconnecting platforms, exporting data). For other requests, contact us at privacy@appspulse.org and we will respond within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

AppsPulse is a business tool designed for app developers and is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@appspulse.org.

11. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication, session management, and security (e.g., CSRF protection). These cookies are strictly necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using AppsPulse.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new 'Last updated' date, and for significant changes, by sending an email notification to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of AppsPulse after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

13. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at privacy@appspulse.org. We will respond to all inquiries within 30 days.
